This years ATW show was special because it was the 10th anniversary of the show. Recently listed as second, only to the Savannah College of Art and Design fashion show, the show was fascinating. There was definitely an emphasis on LED lighting, movement in material, and performance. Honestly though, I did feel that there was more emphasis on concept development than on actual construction and system design.
The panel of 13 guest critiquers included myself, Martha Parks of SOHO Clothes, Sara Yarborough of Raleigh Denim, and industry leaders in textiles, wovens and more.
